The Supreme Court has granted Heathrow Airport Ltd and Arora Holdings Ltd permission to appeal the judgment of the Court of Appeal.

Tim Crosland, Director of Plan B.Earth, said:

“The UK’s Highest Court will now consider the most important legal issue of our time: whether the Government is under an obligation to consider its own policy commitment to the Paris temperature limit when making major planning decisions. We are confident the Supreme Court will back the Court of Appeal’s conclusion that the Government does have such an obligation.”
